You can always find a training lead rope that’s cheaper — whether it’s made in someone’s backyard shed or shipped in from overseas.
So why pay more for ours?
Because it’s built to outlast the cheap stuff, our own lead rope is over 10 years old and has been used hard the whole way through — dragged through dirt and muck, day in day out — and the weave is still tight and impressively strong. The material is machine-washable and colour-fast, though we’ll admit we’ve never actually put it through a wash ourselves.
This training lead rope is hand-spliced in australia using 8mm Australian-made double-braided polyester rope that’s UV resistant, light and durable. It feels soft in the hand but is strong and hard-wearing, with a loop eye for easy attachment and leather flickers. At 4 metres, the extra length keeps you a safe distance from your horse during training while still being easy to handle for everyday leading.
