We start with the best fitting trees available, eliminating the need for expensive pads, and hand-shape our seats to allow the rider to sit comfortably and easily in the correct position. Our SQH trees will fit most standard Australian Stock horses, and FQH trees can be ordered to suit. If you’re unsure about the tree you need, we can use wire tracings to match your horse’s profile to our trees or ship the tree for you to try.

Custom saddle FAQ

How long does a custom saddle take?

From deposit to dispatch is typically 4 months, depending on the workshop queue and your spec. We’ll always give you an honest timeline upfront and keep you posted as your build progresses.

What tree will fit my horse?

Our SQH trees will fit most standard Australian Stock horses, and we can order FQH trees to suit. If you’re unsure about the tree you need, we can use wire tracings to match your horse’s profile to our trees. We are also happy to send trees to you to try on in the mail.

Do I need to come to Wagga?

No, most of our custom clients are quoted and fitted remotely using horse measurements, wire tracings and photos. You’re always welcome to visit the workshop if you would like.

What leather and fittings do you use?

We use only the best quality leather and fittings, including 1st Grade Hermann Oak skirting leather, solid brass or stainless steel fittings, each one finished to ensure the long-term durability of your saddle.
